Hey there, paranormaly inclined fellows!
After reading the articles on this blog some time ago I was pulled in by it, until I finally asked Hawk and Kyb for permission to get a slice of the action. Now, introductions aside…lesse…How I began.
I started pondering about magic and the supranatural from a very young age, enjoying the parts wizards played in stories, whether good or bad. This drove me my interest towards the occult, telekinesis ghosts, espers, mediums, UFOs, Hubble’s new glasses, whatever documentaries I could find related to the subject.
Apparently I got this from my mom, because when I was old enough to distinguish my right hand from my left she started some classes related to the subject, ranging from chakras, energy, auras, to probably any (good) magical technique that can potentially be taught. As she learned, I followed, hoping to discover new things. And ultimately…I was dissapointed.
Every lesson was essentially true, but each and every one had flaws, things that didn’t add up, even to a relatively open mind, and I found myself growing skeptic. The more I saw, the less “real” it seemed, eventually, I stopped believing, not in the paranormal itself, but in the ability to master it.
For a long while afterwards *nearly 10 years* the only magic I considered relatively true was the one made with my own hands : A limited ability to heal minor wounds in both myself and others, to temporarily enhance abilities, easier learning, stuff that could still be easily attributed to placebo.
Until about a year ago when a friend mentioned a few thing he’d been trying a few things. And I started reading again, questioning him, trying new things, “The urge” was back.
